Ingredients

  • 8-10 Fresh Raspberries
  • 1 Lime quartered
  • 8-10 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1-2 tsp Sweetener of Choice simple syrup, agave, etc., optional
  • 4-6 oz Sparkling Water or Club Soda
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Place the raspberries, lime wedges, mint leaves, and optional sweetener into a sturdy highball glass.
  • Muddle together for about 1 minute, pressing and twisting to release the juice from the raspberries and lime, and the aromatic oils from the mint.
  • Top the glass with sparkling water and stir gently once to combine.
  • Fill the glass completely with ice. Garnish with an extra mint sprig and a lime wheel, if desired.

Notes

  • No Muddler? A wooden spoon works perfectly well on the back.
  • Frozen Berries? You can use frozen raspberries. Let them thaw for 10-15 minutes before muddling.
  • Variations:
    • Mojito Style: Use 10-12 mint leaves and 1/2 oz simple syrup.
    • Spicy: Swap the sparkling water for a fiery, non-alcoholic ginger beer.
    • Kid-Friendly: Use lemon-lime soda instead of sparkling water and omit the sweetener.
